This site, today

This is a preview site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no accounts or payments. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include your IP address, for security and troubleshooting.

When burials open

The service will process:

  • What you publish. The title, dates and epitaph you submit. This is public by design, unless you choose an unlisted grave.
  • Purchase records. Amount, currency, country, tier and a transaction reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your card details.
  • Account details, if you create an account: your email address.
  • Gift recipient email addresses, where you send a grave to someone. These are stored encrypted, are never shown in a page, in page source, in metadata or in analytics, and are used only to deliver that gift.
  • Interaction signals. To count each visitor once for attendance and to limit abuse, we use a browser identifier and a hashed IP signal. We do not store raw IP addresses for this purpose.
  • Reports. The reason and description you submit, plus a hashed, non-reversible marker for the reporter. Not the raw IP address.
  • Product analytics. Aggregate usage events, to see which parts of the service work.

Why we are allowed to

  • To perform the contract: publishing your grave, taking payment, delivering a gift.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping the service running, preventing abuse, moderating content.
  • Legal obligation: keeping records required for tax and accounting.

Who else sees it

Only processors we need to run the service: hosting, database and storage, payment processing, transactional email, error monitoring and product analytics. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

A published grave is kept while it exists. Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires. Moderation records are kept as long as the grave, so decisions remain auditable; they store a hash of the submitted text, not the text.

Your rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to info@buryyourshit.com. You may also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or to the authority where you live.

Children

The service is not intended for people under 16.
